N81 CABLE DRIVER
I plugged N81 to Playstation 2, unplugged, and plugged to PC. How can i do a hard reset? I know it doesn’t help you but it probably explains why the solution given above didn’t work for you. Software can be found and downloaded directly from producers webpage. I got my USB working once doing that as well. The phone will power up and your alarm will sound. It was driving me bonkers.

In reply to gottn’s post on July 13, As an explaination how it might have gotten in that “non detect mode” the only thing I can think of, and this is pure speculation, is that I might have had the phone connected to the USB port while the Laptop was doing a reboot.

I thought I broke the cable or the connector, and got a new one — but nothing. I got a Nokia It pops up a window down the right corner, that says the mobile isn’t recognizable.
Don’t ask me what happens in the phone when the alarm goes off, and how it got in that “non detect mode” in the first place but this is how I fix mine now. Including product names, logos, commercial symbols, trade names and slogans are trademarks of those respective or related companies, and cagle protected by international trademark laws, and they are used here only for information purpose.
I tried plugging the phone to Linux box and no dmesg output here either.
Additional information about this product: Hmmm, I understand cabel have a Nokiaand as I just learned from a google there is apparently no way to hard reset the yourself. These cables nor always got 7 p;ins but sometimes 6 or 5 pins – this doesn’t affect at all for transmission and means that additional pins are not used in such phone.

Well my mobile’s USB port maybe is broken or something Anyway u seems to be good at mobiles: I know it doesn’t help you but it probably explains why the solution given above didn’t work for you.
